For a newly emerging business, it is important that the management of the company understand their business targets and accurately identify the strategy they need to follow to increase their revenue and turnover.
If you feel that your company is not delivering the best it can, then you may have to reconsider your line of approach to charming your customer.
There are several providers for company secretarial service alternate to deciding what policy suits your type of business the most, and it might be possible that you have to employ an amalgamation of different strategies to achieve your target.
1. Lower Prices in the Market
If your company chooses to focus on providing the lowest prices in the market so that it can increase its hold not only on the market but also on production, then it is following an approach called Cost Leadership.
To be able to be a dominate player in the industry requires colossal industrial resources and assets and utter focus on work efficiency and production.
For small and medium enterprises, that house not more than 250 employees, attempting to implement cost leadership is a daunting task, and probably not recommendable.
2. Market Leadership
A slightly different line of approach from cost leadership is market leadership.
For small and medium enterprises, this is a more realistic strategy.
The reason being, that the aim is not to target large-scale production, but to increase the corporation’s market share by other means.
Such means to maintain market presence would include providing high-quality products, extended warranty, excellent customer care, and reliable product information.
While companies following the market leadership strategy target the entire market, another alternate corporate solution for enterprises that cannot do so also exists. It is called the Low-Cost Focus.
Instead of focusing on being a leader in the entire market, such businesses target a small portion of the market and become market leaders within that small fraction.
This is achieved by reducing the cost of their products or services within that subdivision, and not necessarily in the entire market.
An example would be of two adjacent grocery stores that are competitors, and they sell goods at a rate higher than a supermarket, but one offers reduced prices because of the presence of the other.
3. Focus on a niche market
Another method used by such small stores is to concentrate on a small subdivision on the market, provide the lowest prices within that market and then provide an additional service to make themselves ‘standout’ from the rest of the market.
This gives them an increased leverage over the remainder of the market since for buyers they would be better and cheaper option at the same time.
An example of such a situation would be a parlor that has low rates for haircuts and gives you a free pedicure with every haircut.
The corporate strategy that Small Medium Enterprises would follow depends on the market, the size of the organisation and the service that they provide.
Knowing what plan of action is suitable for your company and then integrating it into your business to increase sales is not a very simple task and requires expert advice from people like us.
